Because they've been on other private profiles, and private profiles are annoying as hell (blurry picture+name like "[[ninja]]xoxo") makes it hard to tell whether you're adding someone you know, or just some person.

When I had a myspace and looked for people, I would read their about me's to make sure I knew who I was adding.

Besides, unless you put "I live at 123 Maplewood Dr. in Los Angeles, CA, and I'm usually home alone between 5-8 PM" you won't get bothered by stalkers/molesters and crap like that. Contrary to what the news says, myspace isn't that unsafe and horrible.

Well. i did it because, i wanted some of my friends to see my page. like, One of my friends didn't have myspace. and She wanted to see mine so i just made it public so she could see it without having to make one. or getting on my name...but that is the only reason why I did it...
