assuming you know the person in real life. i asked a girl out on here and she gave some excuse about her internet connection making it hard for her to respond. but in real life, she seems flirty.

yes, it's bad. if you really want the girl you'd go through the trouble to see her face to face. when you do it on the internet, be it aim or facebook or anything like that, it makes it less personal and very cowardly. phone is an iffy as well. do it in person to be safe, it means so much more.

asking out a girl on myspace or facebook may make the girl you like think that you're too scared to ask her out in real life. this may make her think that you're scared to talk to her, in which case she'd turn you own b/c nobody wants to go out with somebody they can't talk to. so yeah, it'd be a lot better to ask out a girl in person, it takes guts and girls respect that.
