Maybe its cause they dont know who you are. Usually if some random person asks to be my friend i dont say yes because i dont know them. Maybe you shoud try search for some people you know just type in your name and then you can chat with your real life friends

Do you send messages introducing yourself or letting them know why you added them? Random friend requests are annoying to say the least but requests with an accompanying message means that you actually took the time to read their profile and to write them a message.

If they are ever rude for no reason, just tell them you're sorry you bothered them and move on. People like that are people that you don't need in life anyway! I hope you find some new friends though! Try the message thing! :)
